Certificates and badges
When certificates and badges are issued, where to find them, and how to share them.
When do I get a certificate?
As soon as you complete the course or program, provided all criteria have been met. You will find the criteria below the certificate activity at the bottom of each course.
This process is fully automated; there is nothing to request.
Where do I find my certificates?
Two places:
- At the top of My Learning, so your latest one is waiting when you sign in.
- Under My Certificates in your profile. Select your initial or photo at the top right, choose Profile, then open the My Certificates tab.
From either, you can view a certificate and download the PDF. These can also be published to LinkedIn using a button in the My Certificates tab in your Profile.
My certificate shows the wrong name
Certificates use the name on your ISSUP membership. Correct it on ISSUP.net, then sign in to the Academy again so the change comes through.
This process may take 24 hours to take effect and regenerate the certificates with the correct name.
If you are still having issues, contact support.
How do I share my certificate?
Open My Certificates in your profile. Each certificate has a LinkedIn option that adds it to the certifications section of your profile. You can also download the PDF and attach it to an email or a job application.
All certificates carry a verification QR code and link, so an employer can check that it is genuine.
Can someone verify my certificate?
All certificates show a verification code; it can be checked on the Academy verification page. Each certificate also includes a link, so employers can verify its authenticity.
What is a badge?
A digital record of something you have achieved, like finishing a course, specialisation or another milestone.
Badges show on your Academy profile, and you can add them to an Open Badges backpack to display them elsewhere.
Where do I see my badges?
Your badges are available on the My Learning page. There's an optional Badge Leaderboard that you can opt into.
Do certificates expire?
No. A certificate records that you completed a course on a particular date, and that stays true. Some professional bodies only accept recent training, so check their rules if that is what you need it for.
